TIM McGRAW RESPONDS TO HIS ACM AWARDS SHOW PERFORMANCE
Tim McGraw is overwhelmed at the response to the performance of his song “If You’re Reading This” on the ACM Awards May 21st. Tim says, quote, “The response of the people; to see in their words how this song has touched them, is so inspiring.” McGraw co-wrote the song with the Warren Brothers as a tribute to the families of fallen heroes. As a result of country radio playing the televised version, “If You’re Reading This” debuted at number 35 on the country singles chart last week. McGraw’s manager, Scott Siman, says they are working with Tim and his label to address the fact that there isn’t a studio version of the song. Tim and The Warren Brothers wrote the song just a few days before the ACM Awards and he has not had time to go into the studio to record it.
BRAD PAISLEY USES A “DOUBLE” TO SHOOT NEW VIDEO
Actor Jason Alexander has become a Brad Paisley impersonator. The song is about how people represent themselves differently on the Internet from who they really are. Paisley says, quote, “This concept is about a guy who is totally 100 percent outcast. We tried to paint a picture of somebody who really doesn’t have it all going on in real life but he goes home to his computer and becomes a super human version of himself.” The song is from Paisley's upcoming album, “5th Gear,” which will be in stores June 19th.

Adkins uses his own personal experiences to talk about the issues that he believes are dividing society today. He uses the story of how a former wife shot him through the heart as a vehicle to illustrate the importance of accepting personal responsibility and forgiving others. He cites his hometown in rural Louisiana and the way it was crippled by unions as an argument that unions should be abolished.

KENNY CHESNEY’S CURRENT TOUR VERY DIFFERENT FROM HIS COLLEGE DAYS
Kenny Chesney has an entourage of semis and a road crew on his current “Flip-Flop Summer” tour, but the singer can still remember the days when it was just him and his truck. Kenny recalls, quote, “When I was in college I would go to the music store and rent my sound equipment. Then I’d put it in the back of my truck and drive to every bar in East Tennessee and Virginia and play.” Today Chesney is driving all across America in his spiffy tour bus, carrying several semi-loads of equipment and a crew that sets up the stage and tears it down. His venues are packed arenas and stadiums instead of clubs but the fans still love the music. Chesney says, quote, “This tells you that people are really passionate about country music and about our music. They’re not only listening to our music on the radio, but they’re living their life with it and they want to experience it live.”

I am honored to have shared a moment in time with her. Her presentation is a life experience that no one should live without.” Eddie says, quote, “What an incredible night that was. You can just feel the energy around Dr. Angelou, and there is no doubt in my mind, before I meet the man upstairs, Dr. Angelou will be the first one to greet me with open arms. Swift says, quote, “I've taken the award to every single meet and greet line on the Brad Paisley [Bonfires & Amplifiers] tour so far. I think this might just be the most photographed award ever!” Taylor explains that she wanted to take the belt buckle award out for two reasons – she wanted to thank the fans who voted for her and because fans hardly ever get to see an artists’ award unless it is in a museum. She says, quote, “When I was little, I always wanted to see what it would be like to hold an award like a CMT trophy. And now I love seeing people's reactions to it! They voted for my video and I think they deserve to feel like they got something back from that.”

Ingram says, quote, “One minute I am doing a performance shot under a Nashville overpass with my Beat Up Ford band, and the next I jump in a 1969 Mach One Ford Mustang and go looking for my dad. It was killer…and I actually got to drive the car around some.” He adds, quote, “You know, it’s funny, I guess there are common themes beginning in my videos…there seems to either be a car or a chick. JASON ALDEAN ALBUM “RELENTLESS” IN STORES TODAY
Sometimes the pressure is on for an artist recording his sophomore album, but Jason Aldean says that wasn’t necessarily the case with his album, “Relentless,,” which releases today. He says, quote, “I think because people liked the first album and we have found a niche the pressure is not so bad.” He adds, quote, “Obviously every album you want to make better and kind of try to outdo the first one and I think that’s probably where the pressure comes into play.” “Relentless” has 12 songs, many of them written by proven hit-writing songwriters like Brett James, Jim Collins and Tom Shapiro. Aldean says it was definitely easier to get high caliber songs after he had a proven track record with his first self-titled album. He says, quote, “I just want people that have been waiting for two years for this second album to come out to feel like it’s been worth the wait.”
BRAD PAISLEY IS TICKLED WITH NEW ALBUM
Life is good for Brad Paisley. His “Bonfires and Amplifiers” tour is doing well and his upcoming album ‘5th Gear” is ready for release. Paisley says he’s tickled with the album. While he says the music for this release is more mature, there are still some fun songs on it like his first single “Ticks.” Brad says, quote, “I was totally ready to get every bad review in the book. I didn’t care. All I cared was that the people out there got what I was going for with that song.” Paisley says the album does show some maturity and reflection while other songs are a little risky. He says, quote, “The songs we have I’m real happy with.”

The other half said they hated it. I started to freak out a little bit. I said, 'Oh my God, we had all this momentum and now we're going to screw it up’.” Now that the songs been out there awhile Jack has come to believe that it has helped raise his profile among fans. He says, quote, "In some respect [singles] 'Wherever You Are' and 'Love You,' they were cool, but 'Lips' kind of helped push people to go 'Who's that?' 'What's his name?' Individual rooms will be renovated around four central themes: Women of the Opry, Songwriters & Lyrics, Honky-Tonk/Rhinestone, and Roy Acuff. Trace Adkins, another participant, was outspoken in what they should do with Acuff’s dressing room. He says, quote, “You ought to just take it off the hinges, cause Mr. Acuff’s policy was the door was never closed. That would be cool, just take it off!” The result will be well-deserved upgrades in amenities including vanities, countertops, sinks, flooring/carpeting, lighting and furniture. The episodes featuring the makeover will air in October.
