I'm A Grandpa!

After 9 months of anticipation, I can now shout it! I'M A GRANDPA! My daughter Jessica and her husband, Matt Potter are the proud parents of a baby boy.

He was born Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 10:53pm. They named him Jakob Mathew. He weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces and is 20 inches long.

Both Mother & Baby are fine and are anxious to get home. Aunt Shelby is excited about the prospect of a little boy in the family. Now she may stop asking me if she can have a little brother.

Jessica was a little concerned while in the delivery room. Little Jake decided he wanted to enter this world during the second half of the UK-Ol' Miss game, so while she was doing all of the work, Matt and the Doctor were keeping an eye on the game. I was in the waiting room doing the same thing so time flew by for me.

My long time friend and co-worker, Peter Girouard went to the hospital to visit and has already nicknamed the baby Jake "The Snake". I don't know how Jessica will like that.
